Find the Cause, Not Just the Symptom

Electrical problems rarely fix themselves. A breaker that trips once a week, an outlet that's warm to the touch, or lights that flicker when the microwave runs are all signs of something that will get worse. Ryan tests and traces the problem to its source, explains what he found, and gives you a flat price to fix it before any repair work begins.

Problems We Diagnose and Fix

  • Breakers that trip repeatedly or won't reset
  • Dead outlets and switches
  • Flickering or dimming lights
  • Warm, buzzing, discolored, or melted outlets and switches
  • GFCI outlets that keep tripping or won't reset
  • Burning smells from outlets, switches, or the panel
  • Loose connections, damaged wiring, and failed junction boxes
  • Aluminum wiring and outdated wiring concerns in older homes

What a Burnt Outlet Looks Like

The photos on this page are from a real troubleshooting call. A loose connection inside the box created heat over time until the outlet melted. Problems like this often start with something small, like an outlet that felt warm or a plug that didn't fit snugly. If you notice something like that, it's worth a call.

Smell burning or see smoke? Turn off the breaker for that circuit, or the main, if it's safe to do so. Call 911 if there's fire or smoke, then call us.

FAQ

Common Questions

Why does my breaker keep tripping?

Usually an overloaded circuit, a short, or a ground fault. A failing breaker is less common. Ryan tests the circuit to find which one it is, because resetting a breaker that keeps tripping only hides the problem.

Is a warm or discolored outlet dangerous?

Yes. Heat at an outlet usually means a loose or failing connection, and that's how the melted outlets in our photos started. Stop using it and have it checked.

Why are some of my outlets dead?

Often it's a tripped GFCI outlet somewhere else on the circuit, like in a bathroom, garage, or outside. If resetting those doesn't help, there may be a loose connection that needs repair.

Do you offer emergency service?

Our hours are Monday to Friday 8–6 and Saturday 8–2. If you smell burning or see smoke from an outlet or panel, turn off the breaker if it's safe and call 911 if needed, then call us.
